• Became a designated Chartered Professional Accountant at age 27, after studying German and French literature. Worked many years as a financial auditor and corporate controller.

• Studied classical oil painting at ateliers in New York City.

• Obtained a Forensic Accounting Designation while being a stay-at-home mom.
